The only issue I had with this book is the portrayal of Laurie, one of Madi’s competition in the game, who is shown as a stereotypical “slutty girl”.
The characters and the romance come across as expected and the book is perfectly pleasant. The story is a fast cute romance about a hate-to-love relationship that has some adorable moments. Once you ignore those facts this book delivers what it promises. This book is super cute but it only works if you believe that a school would sponsor an online dating web series and that there would be no adults interfering at all.
Review: There are certain romance books that you really have to suspend your belief to enjoy and The Wrong Bachelor is definitely one of those. Madi wants nothing more than to get eliminated from the contest there is only one problem…Cole has always known that Madi is his perfect match and he is not going to give up this chance to claim the girl he loves. Madi and Cole used to be great friends but now Madi can’t stand the boy who lives across the street. Madi is about to be selected to be a contestant on her school’s dating contest where she will vie for the heart of Cole Kingston. She has a plan for school and a boyfriend she really cares about but everything is about to change. Summary: Madison “Madi” Matthews has everything figured out. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book and it proved to be super cute. I found The Wrong Bachelor by Alexandra Moody on Overdrive.
